Our Work & Info

Our clock repair:

We often receive inquiries about the process of servicing mechanical clocks, and it's certainly not a quick task. Think of it like changing the oil in your car; if you just keep adding oil until it stops working—eventually, it will. The old oil must be completely removed, which requires complete disassembling the clock and cleaning it with the specifically designed ultrasonic solution. Springs inside the winding barrels need specific tools for safe removal and reinstallation. After thorough drying, any worn parts must be inspected and repaired, which may involve fitting bushings to fix elongated holes. Rotating shaft ends are polished or replaced, and new brass tension wires are installed if necessary. Attention to chime timing configuration is crucial, and the right oil and grease must be applied in specific locations. Finally, the clock is tested on a stand for about a week to everything runs smoothly. This meticulous process is the only way I will.
